Flow states

I love photoshoots with water. Especially the flowing kind. It gives the images an inherent sense of dynamic and flow. That doesn’t mean you can be lazy and solely rely on it. Composition, light, and posing have to be as on point as always, if not more so.

But when you have a good model in front of you, with her own ideas and experience in posing, you can easily get into a flow state and the pictures just pour out of your camera like the water that flows down the river.

Luckily, Marina knew this very nice place and the light was just right to get these nice pictures you can see below. I had to get my feet wet as well, to get some of the shots, but it wasn’t too cold and in the end it was absolutely worth it.

Britta, Battle Angel

Britta is an incredibly creative person and I love shooting with her. She is the nicest person and so easy to work with, and in addition to that, she comes up with all those costume ideas and builds lots of her own accessories.

These are just a few of the results from our recent studio day.

On Fire

This is the first composing I ever did in Photoshop. I’d love to learn a little more about this, although the heavily composed images you often see are not really my thing. But for subtle things like this … Why not?
