After a while experimenting with different subject matters it became pretty clear to me, that I wanted to photograph people. Portraying a real human being is no easy task, if you want to do them justice. You will never get to really see them as they see themselves, but you have to photograph a version of them that is pleasing and honest at the same time. You have to get the best out of your image, without distorting reality so much that the person in front of the lens becomes unrecognizable. At least that is my requirement for a good portrait.
